Nancy has been involved with Healing Work for most of her life with her Croatian Mother teaching her the Natural way as a child. She had a career in Nursing before later becoming a Manager for GNC franchise in Raleigh where she established a large and dedicated following of customers who appreciated her honesty and insight for bringing the best working natural remedies to their attention. Apple Crate is proud to announce that we are nearing the end of our Green Business Certification. We've had a lot of fun figuring out how to get rid of the nasties in our stores!!! Lots of help has been offered by Jodi at Sustainable Sandhills. Her suggestion to use Bryant Recycling has been a Godsend. We're now able to recycle most of our waste without leaving the building. All glass, plastic, paper and cardboard are currently being recycled at close to 100%. We've replaced many plastic containers and bags with post consumer recycled paper products and are working on our computer and office supplies. Being chemical free is extra easy for us, since we sell great cleaning products that are "green" already. YEAH!! We're constantly looking for ways to be a green retailer and to honor our customers and our environment.
